- Only stylists from salons carrying Milbon may apply. (Multiple stylists from each salon may apply.)
- Only online applications are accepted.
- Only one entry per category can be entered per person. Multiple applications to the same category are prohibited.
- Only one model per entry.
- The photo should be taken in the aspect ratio of A4 (210mm x 297mm = 8.27 in × 11.69 in). Both vertical and horizontal positions are accepted.
- The data format should be JPEG or PNG.
- The size should be 2160 pixels or longer on the long side, and the data capacity should be at least 1MB and no more than 10MB.
- Examination will be done using the iPad 2018 (6th generation, Retina display).
- The work submitted must be created by the applicant himself/herself.
- Submitting an entry that plagiarizes or imitates other people's photographs, paintings, artworks, costumes, etc. is prohibited.
- Submitting an entry that is likely to be a human rights violation discrimination, or defamation is prohibited.
- Socially inappropriate entries or works that are found to have violated rules will be excluded from application, removed from publication, or disqualified based on the decision of the administration.
- Entries must be original works that have not been published in general or industry magazines.
- Duplicate entries (even if it uses different angles, poses, or costumes) for other competitions and diversion to general and industry magazines are prohibited.
- Since entries may be posted on our media platforms (advertisements, websites, pamphlets, etc.) without the prior consent of the applicant, please submit your entry only after obtaining permission from the photographer and model.
- The copyright of the entries shall belong to Milbon Co., Ltd. We are not responsible for any issues related to image rights or copyrights.
- We reserve the right to disqualify entries before and after selection, including cancelation of monetary prizes and awards, for any breach of rules.
- Entries will remain on the website until the start of next year's application period.
Submission
DA of the Year (from each category) will be selected from the winners of the Designer Awards based on careful evaluation by the guest artists and the final result will be announced at WEB on Wednesday, October 28.
An additional JPY 300,000 and a trophy will be awarded to the winner on top of the Designer Award.
The submission that obtains the best rapport from guest artists will be presented the Designer Award and the final result will be announced at WEB on Wednesday, October 28.
“Cash prize” of JPY 100,000 and a plaque will be presented.
In the event that the stylist is chosen by more than one guest artist, there will be JPY 100,000 per work.
Those that are recognized as excellent works in each area will be announced on the website as Honorable Mentions by Region. They will be posted until the start of next year's application period.
