Selection Criteria

• Hair designs should be of high quality
• The theme slogan should be embodied in your work
  (Hair, makeup, fashion, photoshoot location, and arrangement of the slogan will all be taken into consideration for evaluation)
• The ability to create visual expression that touches people's heart

  Photographer

  A world-renowned photographer and film director, specializing in various fields such as art, fashion, advertisement, and film.
  He was commissioned to photograph top celebrities such as Madonna and Lady Gaga and has directed over 1,500 portraits and promotional footage for "2020 Portrait Messages Connected By Leslie Kee" on the theme of supporting the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
  In addition, the project "OUT IN JAPAN", which shoots LGBT portraits, was selected as a recommended work by the jury members in the Entertainment Division of the 19th Japan Media Arts Festival.
  He is also committed in awareness-raising activities for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations.

  He is active in a wide range of fields, including editorials both in Japan and overseas, advertising campaigns for cosmetic and fashion, corporate commercials, stage performances, and dramas.
  He explores new approaches through utilizing makeup techniques to make one look attractive, a unique sense of fashion, and from the perspective of beauty.
  He has worked on collections such as UNDERCOVER, JUNYA WATANABE COMME des GARÇONS, Mame Kurogouchi, and CHIKA KISADA.
  Books and publications: "kesho: Makeup" (NORMAL/25th Japan Self-Publishing Culture Award Graphic Category Award), "Mekashi -mekashi" (NORMAL), etc.

  She produces works using a wide range of techniques, including collage, illustration, painting, 3D, and video.
  Known for her bizarre, cute, and stimulating expressions, she has been gaining support from a wide range of generations.
  She is vigorously expanding her field of activities by providing works and art directions to music artists such as Aimyon, Kimura Kaela, and Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, as well as to fashion brands such as GU, MIHARAYASUHIRO, and New Balance.

  With her unique styling techniques, which combine the expression of energy and delicacy, her work extends to versatile fields including styling for artists, actors, magazines, as well as advertising costumes.
  One of her personal works, "Nice to meet you" (#ntmy2015) where she improvises the outfit style of those people she met on the street, gained attention both domestically and internationally and was featured in VOGUE ITALIA.

  Copywriter / Creative Director

  Affiliated to ADK since she started out at the cosmetics manufacturer Kose Advertising Department.
  She crafts messages in a wide range of genres, not only in beauty and fashion, but also social themes.
  She has received many awards in Japan and overseas, including ACC Gold, TCC Award, Grand Prix for the Asia Pacific Advertising Festival, London International Advertising Festival, New York Festival, NYADC, and Spikes Asia.
  She has served as a judge in numerous contests, including the Advertising Council Award, the Japanese Magazine Advertising Award, and YouTube Works Award.

Hair Supervisor*Honorific titles are omitted

They will be in charge of checking the qualiy of hair designs submitted. The qualiy check of the hair designs will be conduced before judging, and those that pass will be accepted and eligible to be judged.
