--Why did you join the DA?

My boss recommended me to join this event at first.

--How did you think about the event after you joined?

Before I joined the event, I though DA was a just competition for the creative techniques. While I was joining the DA, however, I realized hair-designing was a fusion of the concept of the art and life-style.

--I understood what you said. So it is not enough for the hair-designing only with the aspect of the art, right?

Expressing one’s self with combination of reality and creativity, at the same time, offering the suitable hair-designs to customers and realizing the designs with excellent techniques, I think this is the different service that I can offer better than others. And this is an essential quality of DA as well.

--How do you see “REALITIVE” in your way of thinking as the theme of this DA?

Even though we are living in a world fashion determines action, women are looking for hair-designs expressing one’s self different from other women. Making it happen based on the idea of “REALITIVE”, we are able to realize the hair-designs beyond the expectation of the customers.

--What kind of effect will the idea of “REALITIVE” (DA) have on your salon?

At the beginning when I started working for my salon, we had curriculums and exams for trainees such as shampooing, coloring, perming and hair-cutting; these programs are opportunities to apparently know what we don’t have enough or how we developed in terms of techniques. As I become more experienced year by year, however, there were no such opportunity to be advised by others regarding my technique and ability, and I felt I lost my motivation or specific goal of my carrier. Meanwhile, I put the idea of the idea of “REALITIVE” into practice, I was able to get out from the maze of thought, and was able to create new designs beyond the existing frameworks. Now I fully realize that the idea of “REALITIVE” makes us notice what we don’t have enough, and leads us the way in the right direction.

--While there are those who don’t join this competition because the competition doesn’t always pay off, why did you attend this competition? And how do you think of the competition after joined?

The idea of “REALITIVE” is a new field of concept in beauty industry. Of course there is limit for technique, but there are possibilities in imagination that limited technique become unlimited possibilities. So I think imagination is more important than technique.  “REALITIVE” design is like an endless treasure hunt. It is irreplaceable for hair stylists as an explorer for the beauty of women.
